Job summary

Black Eagle Defense seeks an Application Engineer IV to advance Secure the Enterprise initiative by modernizing the security evaluation process with automation, continuous monitoring, and data gathering across project lifecycles. You will develop backend capabilities and deliver scalable REST endpoints using Python, Django or Flask, and modern data stores.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. plus 4+ years of experience, or a master’s or bachelor’s with corresponding years of experience.
• Twelve (12) years of relevant experience acceptable if no degree.
• Strong backend Python development with Django/Flask.
• Experience with Docker and REST endpoint development.
• Experience with MariaDB or MongoDB databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based REST endpoints and microservices.
• Utilize Django/Flask to interact with data models in MariaDB or MongoDB.
• Provide backend middleware and support for system applications.
• Design and manage data models and services for UI data delivery.
