Job summary

Grafana Labs, the company behind the open observability cloud, is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive Pyroscope-related initiatives. This is a fully remote position targeting candidates in the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Ireland, with a focus on scalable, OSS-backed profiling within Grafana.

As a senior engineer, you will lead end-to-end projects, design and operate core components for ingestion, storage, and querying, and collaborate across teams to reduce friction in the full performance

Qualifications

• Solid experience with a systems language and large-scale cloud services.
• Go is the primary language used; familiarity with other languages is a plus (Rust, C, C++, Python, Java).
• Experience building and operating multi-tenant distributed systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to rollout, including design, delivery, and operations.
• Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database—ingestion, storage, and query.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with product roadmap and customer feedback.
• Drive operational excellence with clear SLAs and cost targets; automate where possible.
• Engage with the OSS community and contribute to project governance and reviews.
