Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Apps team to design, develop, and scale core backend services using Node.js, with Java as optional; you will build scalable microservices powering millions of users.

You will mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, implement monitoring, and stay current with AI-assisted development practices while contributing to architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years backend development with Node.js and Angular
• 3+ years designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• 2+ years leading projects and providing technical leadership
• Strong expertise in Node.js frameworks and technologies
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Proficiency with MongoDB and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Architect and implement microservices to handle high-volume traffic and complex logic
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews in line with best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend services
