Job summary

ZoomInfo seeks an experienced backend/infra engineer to design and build distributed systems that process billions of behavioral events daily in real time, develop high-performance APIs, and apply AI/ML to analyze data and enable intelligent decision-making.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver customer-facing features, mentor teammates, and drive quality, performance, and observability across all systems you own.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend, data, or infrastructure engineering experience or equivalent impact and leadership.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python and solid SQL
• Familiarity with distributed systems, big data, and AI/ML workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed systems that process billions of events per day in real time
• Develop high-performance APIs and services supporting advertising, identity, and intent features
• Leverage AI/ML to analyze data, classify content, extract signals, and enable intelligent decisions
• Build intelligent agents using frameworks like LangGraph or MCP to power insights
• Design and operate data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis, and ClickHouse for streaming and batch workloads
• Drive quality, performance, scalability, and observability across all owned systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, data scientists, and engineers to deliver features and tooling
• Contribute to technical leadership and mentoring of teammates
