Qualifications

• 6 or more years of backend development in C# and .NET.
• Entity Framework Core, including migrations, relationships, and concurrency tokens.
• Demonstrated experience implementing optimistic concurrency control.
• Workflow or state machine implementation with enforced transition rules.
• Relational data modeling and SQL.

Responsabilités

• Build the domain model and persistence layer from a written specification.
• Implement the status workflow as an enforced state machine, including the reopening path and rejection of invalid transitions.
• Implement optimistic concurrency so that competing updates are detected and handled rather than silently lost.
• Enforce business rules and authorization at the service and data layer, not only in the user interface.
• Demonstrate controls and data integrity live, including rejected transitions and concurrency conflicts.
• Implement backend changes under tight turnaround when requirements change late.

Immediate Availability Required: This is a short-term, full-time contract role with direct long-term conversion potential. Candidates must be available to start immediately with no notice period or competing obligations.

Required of every member of this team:

• Immediate availability and full time commitment for the duration of the engagement, with no competing obligations


• Personal, hands-on contribution. All contributors are formally identified to the client by name, employer, and contribution.


• Ability to present and defend your own work live, on camera, without internet search, AI assistance, or outside help


• Comfort working from a written specification that has gaps, making defensible assumptions, and explaining your reasoning out loud


• Authorization to work in the United States and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government background investigation


• Work performed on contractor owned equipment

Preferred

• Designing authorization that holds at the service layer


• REST API design and integration against external data services


• Audit logging and traceability

Engagement Terms:

U.S. Citizenship Requirement: Due to federal government contract requirements and eligibility for a U.S. Government background investigation/clearance, candidate selection is restricted to U.S. Citizens only.

Commitment: Full time for the duration of the engagement

Location: Fully remote, United States

Conversion: Potential long term role

This role includes a live technical review in which you present and defend your own work to a client technical audience. The session is recorded. Internet search, AI assistance, and help from anyone outside the presenting team are not permitted during the session.

This begins as a short term engagement and is expected to lead to a long term role for strong contributors.
