Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend Services in Redmond to build, maintain, and scale large-scale backend systems used by millions of players. You will own end-to-end backend solutions, collaborate across teams, and drive reliability and performance.

The role requires strong C#/.NET backend expertise, experience with microservices, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Azure DevOps, plus a proactive, communicative approach to production systems and incident management.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C#/.NET backend services.
• Design, build, and support microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, Helm, Terraform.
• Experience with Azure cloud and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Telemetry, monitoring, observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with multiple databases and storage technologies.
• Understanding of reliability, scalability, and performance.
