Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution is seeking a Sr Product Software Engineer in Santa Monica, CA to design and implement tier-1 Java microservices for the Unified Messaging Platform. You will build backend components and asynchronous cloud data transformations, aligning with business needs and architectural standards.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale web or services applications.
• Experience in a Java and/or alternative JVM application development environments (Scala/Kotlin).
• Familiarity with the AWS environment (ECS, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficient in writing unit, integration and functional tests.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker).
• Familiarity with service APIs and SDKs.
• Understanding of agile processes, source control & project management tools (GitHub, SVN, Jira).

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and enhancement of UMP services for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Research and integrate new technologies into production to optimize core offerings.
• Promote Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) in ceremonies.
• Provide technical guidance to junior teammates on code quality and architecture.
• Collaborate with squad, product managers, designers, QA, ops and stakeholders.
• Ramp up on new domains and technologies.
