Job summary

Finalsite is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in India to own end-to-end production services within our messaging and notification platform. You’ll design, implement, test, monitor, and improve systems that deliver messages at scale while collaborating across the US, Poland, and India.

You will thrive in a complex, evolving codebase, be comfortable operating in a high-velocity environment, and mentor teammates to raise the overall quality and reliability of the platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production backend software with meaningful volume.
• Instrumented and operated your own services across production.
• Able to understand a large, undocumented codebase and reason about behavior.
• Experience with asynchronous, queue-driven, or event-driven systems and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more significant services in the messaging path end to end.
• Improve fragile areas by adding observability and reducing debt.
• Make delivery observable to answer what was sent, delivered, and failed.
• Mentor engineers across time zones and review designs and code.
