Read AI, Inc. is seeking a Media Capture Engineer to design and optimize a low-latency live media pipeline, enabling features like live transcription and live notes.

You will maintain meeting agents for Zoom, Meet and Teams, and resolve real-time connection edge cases with third-party providers. • Experience building software solutions that perform at scale.
• Breadth across backend, frontend, devops or data engineering with willingness to dive into needed areas.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a next-generation live media pipeline with low latency.
• Support live transcription and live notes through fast, reliable processing.
• Maintain meeting agents for Zoom, Meet, and Teams integrations.
• Debug real-time connections with third-party providers and fix edge cases.
• Develop monitoring and alerting to catch issues early.
• Tune FFmpeg/GStreamer pipelines for cost efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Improve storage/hand-off of raw audio/video to downstream consumers.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineers to translate ideas into concrete features.
• Explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
