Job summary

Step, a remote-first fintech now part of Beast Industries, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will own features through their life cycle and build scalable Kotlin services in a small cross-functional group.

You should have 6+ years in backend development, strong CS fundamentals, and a passion for software quality. Experience with distributed systems, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Postgres is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
• Passion for software quality.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own features throughout their life cycle, from inception to production.
• Improve existing and develop new Kotlin services.
