Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend services powering the Fanatics App and related platforms. You will work in a fast-growing environment, collaborating with product and other teams to deliver reliable features for millions of users.

You will own code quality, participate in on-call, code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers, with emphasis on observability, architecture, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend distributed systems.
• Drive backend best practices and mentor others in coding/architecture.
• Observability: logging, monitoring, tracing in distributed systems.
• Agile delivery with cross-team collaboration in large environments.
• Excellent communication to diverse audiences including executives.
