Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain scalable services that power its sportsbook, ecommerce, and gaming platforms. You will work with Kotlin/Java and Spring, write reliable code, and participate in on-call rotations.

You will collaborate with product and data teams, mentor junior engineers, and help shape architecture while embracing agile practices and best-practice code quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building scalable backend distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Spring with Kotlin and/or Java.
• Ability to drive backend best practices and mentor others.
• Knowledge of observability with logging, monitoring, and tracing.
• Experience delivering Agile software with cross-functional collaboration.
