Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable digital solutions. You will build APIs and backend services using Java Spring Boot, Node.js and GraphQL, contributing to cloud-native architectures and AI-enabled initiatives.

You will participate in architecture decisions, implement tests, ensure security and observability, mentor juniors, and collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in backend application and API development using Java SpringBoot, Node.js, and GraphQL.
• Experience developing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes platforms, including API security and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience implementing observability solutions including logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, and alerting.
• Solid understanding of API design principles, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical design, and evolution of enterprise digital solutions and API-driven platforms while partnering with senior engineers and architects.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and backend services while implementing complex business requirements.
• Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using Java Spring Boot, Node.js, REST, and GraphQL technologies.
• Identify and deliver AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to make strategic architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
