Job summary

DoubleVerify Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join our NYC headquarters in a hybrid role. You will design and build scalable services, collaborate with product managers, and drive technical requirements with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor mid-level engineers, work across departments, and contribute to reliable deployment and observability practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience with languages such as C#, Java, Python.
• Familiar with all aspects of SDLC and best practices.
• Mentor to mid-level engineers and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Vault).
• Strong experience with both relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, MS SQL Server).
• Experience with containerization (Docker/K8s) and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services that integrate with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product managers to establish requirements and technical specs.
• Research new technologies and adapt them to DV systems.
• Test and optimize code and perform code reviews.
• Release features via automated deployment tools and IaC.
• Investigate issues and resolve production incidents.
• Provide system design input for senior engineers.
