Job summary

Averity is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our hybrid team in New York City. You will own end-to-end features, balance backend rigor with polished frontend experiences, and drive architectural decisions that shape our core platform.

You’ll work closely with product, design, and analytics to deliver impactful growth features, maintain performance and testability, and mentor peers. This is a hands-on, shipping-focused opportunity in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years delivering production software across the full stack, backend-focused.
• Fluency in a server-side language: Go, Python, C#, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or a modern frontend framework.
• Strong API design, system architecture, and schema design (SQL or NoSQL).
• Comfort with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and orchestration/tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Disciplined approach to automated testing, CI/CD, and sensible design patterns.
• Clear communication, team-first attitude, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Take large initiatives from sketch to production, including data modeling and service design.
• Influence squad technical direction and set building standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to ship in small steps and measure impact.
• Maintain high performance, readability, and testability of systems.
• Coach less experienced engineers and share knowledge to raise the team's craft.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions to keep shipping without sacrificing quality.
