Job summary

Carex Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable HPC-enabled backend services and web APIs. You will work on distributed systems, cloud integration, and Kubernetes deployments to support a high-demand simulation platform.

The ideal candidate brings strong Java, Python, or C++ backend experience, Linux proficiency, and hands-on Terraform/Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in CS/CE or related technical field.
• Backend development with Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and web APIs.
• Improve API unification, data management, caching, and storage.
• Collaborate to integrate schedulers and HPC backends.
• Architect pipelines for multi-physics simulations.
• Build hybrid-cloud compute/storage solutions for on-prem and cloud.
• Develop IaC, monitoring, and observability tooling.
• Ensure scalable, secure backend architectures.
