Flexcompute is building a new generation of high-performance simulation software and seeks a Backend Software Engineer to design scalable systems and APIs for our EM simulation platform. You will work across backend, data management, and cloud integration to support growing demand, including on-prem HPC and cloud hybrids.

The role emphasizes HPC, distributed systems, and containerized deployments, with a strong focus on scalable backend service design and robust security practices in a startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or computer engineering.
• Experience building backend services and APIs.
• Proficiency with Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Distributed systems design and production operations.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to API unification, simulation data management, and scripting improvements.
• Collaborate with EM and infrastructure teams to enhance back-end/scheduler integrations and Python frontend functionality.
• Improve web API design for multi-physical simulation context.
• Develop and maintain hybrid cloud compute/storage solutions linking on-prem HPC with cloud platforms.
• Optimize and manage HPC clusters with high-speed interconnects.
