Job summary

Enode is building the software layer that makes home energy devices work as a unified system. The Senior Software Engineer role focuses on expanding integrations with batteries, solar, HVAC, and smart meters, while maturing our API surface for a single, controllable home energy platform.

You will own backend features end-to-end, from design through production, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that enable battery and home energy optimization

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services in production (APIs/integration-heavy systems).
• Proven ability to own end-to-end features and drive them to production.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving teams; adapt quickly to changing requirements.
• Strong cross-functional communication across engineering, product, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across batteries, solar, smart meters, and HVAC.
• Design and evolve home energy APIs, unifying telemetry and controls across the HEM system, batteries, and curtailment.
• Improve observability and vendor performance across integrations; participate in the triage rotation.
• Collaborate with partnerships and commercial teams on API feasibility for new OEM integrations.
• Ship production features in Node/TypeScript on our AWS-based stack.
• Balance speed, quality, and customer impact in day-to-day decisions.
