Job summary

Flexjet is seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong backend focus to join our development team in Los Angeles. You will design, build, and troubleshoot high-performance APIs used across the business, collaborating with multiple departments.

You will work with .NET technologies, microservices, and databases, and contribute to API and cloud-related initiatives. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and Agile practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software developer and senior-level experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2 additional years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of OOP, relational and NOSQL databases, microservices architecture, and CS foundations.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Expertise in development of services/APIs, databases, cloud services, and migration of legacy applications.
• Front-end development experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot high performance and high availability APIs used across the business.
• Analyze technical requirements to design new components and applications.
• Manage new and existing products and applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Advise and support colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Introduce new solutions to products and colleagues when appropriate for business needs.
• Keep abreast of advancements in technologies and development techniques.
• Interact with departments and end users in development, design, and support roles.
