Job summary

Flexjet is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our development team, focusing on backend services and APIs for high availability. The role offers opportunities to collaborate across departments and brands in the private aviation industry.

The candidate should have 5+ years as a software developer, a related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of OOP, databases (SQL and NoSQL), microservices, and cloud services.

Qualifications

5+ years as a software developer and proven experience at a senior level.
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 2 additional years of equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of OOP, relational and NoSQL databases, microservices architecture, and CS foundations.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience in API development, databases, cloud services, and migration of legacy applications.
Front-end development experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and troubleshoot high performance and high availability APIs.
Analyze technical requirements to design new components and applications.
Manage new and existing products and applications throughout their lifecycle.
Advise and support colleagues where your expertise will facilitate the achievement of common goals.
Introduce new solutions to the product and to your colleagues when appropriate for the business needs.
Keep abreast of advancements in technologies and development techniques.
Interact with all departments and end users acting in development, technical design, and support roles.
