Job summary

Hinge Health is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable, high-quality backend services using Golang and gRPC within the Accounts team. You will work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to craft resilient systems that power our AI-driven care platform.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, ambiguity tolerance, and strong product quality focus, with a hybrid SF office presence in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of full-time software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with at least one modern programming language.
• 2+ years of experience in full software development life cycle.
• Experience delivering large software projects in production.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large projects that introduce new product capabilities and maintain key repositories.
• Break down complex problems and ensure steady, predictable delivery.
• Roadmap and execute ambitious technical strategies with team input.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Integrate AI technologies to automate processes and enhance features.
• Improve maintainability, availability, and performance of features.
