Job summary

Hinge Health is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable Golang microservices focused on identity and account management. You will work with gRPC, AWS, Postgres, Redis, and temporal to deliver robust APIs and data models in production.

Collaborate with product and design, mentor junior engineers, apply AI integrations, and maintain high standards for security and compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST). Hybrid SF office 3 days/week; dog-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years experience with at least one modern programming language.
• 2+ years experience in full software development life cycle.
• Experience delivering large software projects in production.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Deliver large projects that introduce new product capabilities and maintain key code repositories.
• Break down complex problems into manageable tasks and drive steady delivery.
• Collaborate with team to roadmap and execute technical strategies.
• Mentor and support junior engineers with code reviews and pairing.
• Integrate AI technologies to automate processes and enhance features.
• Improve maintainability, availability and performance of features.
• Communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical partners.
