Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Vienna, VA is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and build backend services for geospatial processing. You’ll develop APIs using Python, Node.js, and Java, and extend ArcGIS Enterprise in containerized environments.

Collaborating with platform, DevOps, and GIS teams, you’ll translate requirements into production solutions and support deployments across cloud and on‑prem systems. A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, or related technical field.
5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Experience building REST APIs and service-based architectures.
Hands-on with Python, Node.js, Java and ArcGIS Enterprise integration.
Experience in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
