Job summary

Cross Border Talents in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a backend focus to join a lean team. The role involves building complex backend services that interface with LLMs and Generative AI, owning zero-to-one projects from MVPs to production, and helping scale existing products for broader adoption.

The candidate will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in-person) with strong emphasis on code quality, architecture, and collaboration with the CTO.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of experience in backend-leaning full-stack software engineering.
• Experience at an early-stage startup (Pre-seed to Series B).
• Strong demonstrated technical expertise (move fast and explain code).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship complex backend services and infrastructure that interface with LLMs and Generative AI models.
• Take ownership of zero-to-one projects, from prototyping MVPs to hardening them into scalable, secure, and reliable production systems.
• Help scale our existing, widely adopted products as we launch to more organizations.
• Improve backend architecture, observability, and code quality standards.
• Collaborate within a flat engineering structure, working directly with other engineers and the CTO.
