Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend robustness and drive scalable, reliable systems for fintech products. You will design and optimize Python/Django backends, work with PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, and AWS ECS, and collaborate closely with product and ops teams to deliver high-impact, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer with proven production experience.
• 2+ years of Python in production systems.
• 2+ years of Django experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Proficient with Git and code review workflows.
• Experience writing automated tests and preventing regressions.
• Experience with AWS ECS and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own backend robustness with focus on correctness, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Solve complex business logic across heterogeneous customer data and evolving requirements.
• Improve database performance by analyzing slow queries and data access patterns.
• Build pragmatic solutions, extending existing systems with simplicity over premature optimization.
• Collaborate on operations: infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and deployments that impact stability.
• Work closely with engineers and product to translate operational needs into reliable backend behavior.
