TomoCredit, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Software Backend Engineer to own backend projects from concept to production, driving technical decisions and scaling our API stack. This is a 100% in-office role at our San Francisco headquarters.

As an early team member, you’ll collaborate across design and product, take end-to-end ownership, and help build cloud-based solutions that serve millions of users. Mentorship and growth opportunities accompany a dynamic FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with Node.js.
• Experience with SQL databases (Postgres or Redshift).
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EBS, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• Experience managing asynchronous processes and messaging queues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and product teams to define and launch new features.
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend projects, ensuring scalability and high performance.
• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs.
• Leverage AWS services to create robust, cloud-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Partner with the support team to address technical challenges and enhance the user experience.
• Conduct thorough QA testing to ensure high-quality releases.
