Harbinger Motors is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and scale infrastructure powering vehicle data management, simulations, and software management. You will implement robust, secure server-side systems, APIs, and data pipelines, collaborating with embedded, data science, and frontend teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes cloud IaC, testing, and continuous improvement, with a mission-driven focus on sustainable EV technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with a focus on backend engineering
• Experience designing and scaling data-driven backend systems
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and data pipelines
• Proficient in designing robust RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs
• Security and data privacy best practices awareness

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend services and data pipelines
• Build high-performance REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs for internal and external use
• Collaborate with embedded, data science, and frontend teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of cloud-based infrastructure
