Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the infrastructure powering vehicle data management, simulations, and analytics. You will work on robust, secure server-side systems and distributed data pipelines to support massive telemetry and analysis workloads.

The role involves API design (REST/GraphQL/gRPC), performance optimization, and cloud deployments using IaC. Collaboration with embedded systems, data scientists, and frontend teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience with a focus on backend engineering, distributed systems, or cloud architecture.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend systems supporting data and simulation applications.
• Build and manage high-performance APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) for internal and external use.
• Implement ETL pipelines for complex data processing and analytics with a focus on data integrity and security.
• Optimize server performance, database queries, and cloud infrastructure for scale and low latency.
• Architect and manage scalable cloud deployments using IaC and containerization, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
