Job summary

Lila Sciences seeks a Senior Software Engineer II, Enterprise Auth Platform to own critical backend systems across tenant isolation, auth, and developer APIs. You will work on multi-tenant architectures, ensure security and auditability, and ship customer- and developer-facing features with a focus on reliability.

You will collaborate with infra, data, apps, and science teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, including MCP integrations and public REST/SDK interfaces, while driving developer

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience in APIs, backend services, or platform infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in API design, multi-tenancy, authentication/authorization, or backend services at scale.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), Kubernetes, AWS, and databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Focus on developer experience and building easy-to-use APIs with clear errors and backward compatibility.
• Able to ship working code regularly, debug production issues, and own systems end-to-end.

• Own critical components of the enterprise auth platform and tenant lifecycle.
• Ship features regularly and maintain high-quality backend services at scale.
