Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a strong Software Engineer to modernize and support enterprise applications in a regulated environment. You’ll work on decomposing legacy systems, building integrations, and delivering backend services in Java, with Angular frontend work as needed.

You will design, optimize, and debug complex code, tackle performance and data challenges in Oracle databases, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
• Advanced SQL skills and Oracle database experience.
• Experience building integrations between applications and enterprise platforms.
• Frontend experience with Angular.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications supporting mission-critical operational processes.
• Modernize and refactor legacy systems into scalable services.
• Develop integrations between existing applications and modernized platforms.
• Build, maintain, and optimize Java-based backend services and APIs.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and improve complex legacy codebases.
• Create and support user-facing functionality using Angular and modern front-end frameworks.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Support containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Participate in GitHub-based source control and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Investigate production issues and implement long-term fixes.
