Job summary

TheGuarantors is a fintech company enabling operators to qualify renters faster by leveraging AI-driven renter underwriting. We build a scalable microservices platform and empower the Customer Integrations team to enable third-party client integrations.

The Senior Software Engineer will own end-to-end projects, partner with Product leaders, and collaborate across tech teams to deliver secure, well-documented APIs and scalable backend services in a remote U.S. setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend services in languages like Go, Java, Python or C#.
• Deep API design and development experience.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI) and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Ability to lead projects end-to-end and collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs that power developer-facing platform capabilities
• Develop secure, well-documented, versioned APIs with a strong emphasis on developer experience, consistency and usability.
• Lead projects from planning to delivery independently.
• Partner with Product leaders on ideation and implementation.
• Collaborate across multiple tech teams to design and deliver impactful features.
• Advocate for team needs and get involved with strategic decisions.
