TheGuarantors in NYC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate mission-critical systems powering our deal and application lifecycle. You will own features end-to-end, mentor engineers, and contribute to scalable backend services and modernized platform architecture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software engineering with strong backend expertise in Node.js/NestJS/TypeScript, Go in production, and a solid distributed-systems background. Hybrid role based in NYC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend focus.
• Proven in production with Node.js/NestJS/TypeScript and API design (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with relational data models (PostgreSQL) and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from requirements to production.
• Build and extend backend services and React frontends within a micro-service architecture.
• Mentor other engineers and lead technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, designers, and engineers across teams.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
