Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, and supporting backend systems in production.
• Strong knowledge of Python, and proficiency in Go, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience with cloud-native, containerized architectures (Docker/Kubernetes) on public clouds.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and implementation of complex backend services in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.
• Make architecture and tradeoff decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and operability.
• Drive end-to-end projects from requirements through rollout and production operation.
• Improve service reliability by defining SLOs/SLAs, observability, and on-call participation as needed.
• Collaborate across teams to define APIs, data models, and integration points.
• Identify platform and productivity improvements to raise engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design reviews, helping grow the team's capabilities.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and inclusive collaboration.
