Job summary

LiveView Technologies is hiring for a Backend/Distributed Systems role focused on building a scalable, cloud-native event pipeline. You will own the reliability, throughput, and scale of the cloud components that feed edge-driven decisions, and you’ll collaborate with edge, data, and operations teams to keep the platform healthy at fleet scale.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in backend or distributed systems, strong experience with event streaming (Kafka or similar), and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Backend/distributed systems depth with production experience.
• Strong experience with event streaming and Kafka.
• Proven reliability and observability in production systems.
• Experience with storage and projection patterns for data lakehouse.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python; API design.
• Cloud-native with AWS and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Harden the event pipeline: production-grade reliability, delivery and ordering guarantees, replay, idempotency, and schema enforcement.
• Serve the agent layer: ensure reliable dispatch to workflows and expose context interfaces.
• Scale ingress and projections: manage materialized stores and lakehouse ingestion.
• Observability and operability: own dashboards, metrics, and feature flags.
