Quantum Computing Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer, Backend: Cloud & API Development, to maintain and grow cloud APIs for interacting with photonic quantum hardware. You will design RESTful services in Golang/Python, build asynchronous workflows with message brokers, and secure APIs with OAuth2/OIDC/mTLS in a distributed stack.

The role spans cloud and on-premise environments, requiring distributed-systems expertise and solid CI/CD experience to ship reliable services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Expert proficiency in Golang and Python for production services.
• Strong background in message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or NATS).
• Proven track record implementing API security best practices (OAuth2, JWT).
• Experience designing scalable SQL/NoSQL databases with indexing/TTL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Golang and Python.
• Architect asynchronous, event-driven workflows with RabbitMQ or similar brokers.
• Optimize service-to-service communication for low latency in a distributed stack.
• Monitor system health and implement distributed tracing for complex interactions.
• Implement API security (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS) and best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD deployment and testing patterns.
