Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define a technical plan for significant features with simple, extensible design.
• Proven track record making large-scale code changes safely with tooling and practices.
• Demonstrated ownership of growth and willingness to seek feedback from team and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global engineering collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals and lead engineers through ambiguity to delivery.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics across the development lifecycle.
• Identify and solve project, process, or technology issues and advocate for solutions.
• Own team operations, monitoring, on-call readiness, and playbooks.
• Set and improve code review and design standards beyond the team.
• Mentor and develop talent through feedback and example.
• Participate in a required on-call rotation.
