Job summary

Restream is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team to build new features, design services, and improve the reliability of our systems as we scale. You will work on backend APIs, data models, and production infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will collaborate on code reviews, learn new technologies, and contribute to a robust, scalable platform. Knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript or Rust, databases, and cloud tooling is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong background in backend development with scalable systems.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs for web services.
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure and modern tech stack (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to review code and collaborate in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in Restream web services
• Design and implement backend APIs and business logic to support new and existing features
• Give and receive code review feedback with the team
• Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies and opportunities in our environment
• Ensure redundancy and resilience of Restream production infrastructure.
