Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in back-end development, including strong experience building production systems at scale.
• 10+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including 5+ years working with PHP and modern PHP practices such as PHP 8+.
• Strong experience with MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization, along with hands‑on experience using caching systems such as Memcached and Redis.
• In-depth understanding of web development fundamentals, HTTP protocols, and Linux server environments, including reading logs and troubleshooting production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable backend systems for a high-traffic video platform, with a focus on performance, maintainability, and long-term reliability.
• Build APIs, optimize MySQL schemas and queries, implement effective caching strategies with Memcached and Redis, and support background jobs or data-processing workloads at scale.
• Maintain and modernize legacy code, integrate front-end components with backend logic, and contribute to technical direction through code reviews and architecture.
