Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Experience building and scaling production software.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, Java, Rust, TypeScript, or similar.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale reliable backend systems and services.
• Own projects from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Solve complex problems around performance, reliability, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Build systems that process large volumes of data and support growing user and product demands.
• Debug and optimize production systems and improve overall system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and technical teams to make thoughtful architectural decisions.
• Contribute to technical direction, engineering best practices, and the long-term evolution of the platform.
• Work across the stack where needed and learn new technologies quickly.
