Code Red Partners is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable backend services and security-focused infrastructure in the AI era. You will own projects from design to production, tackling performance, reliability, and data-intensive challenges.

The role emphasizes architecture, collaboration with other engineers, and learning new technologies while contributing to the platform's long-term evolution. Onsite in San Francisco, PTO offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Experience building and scaling production software.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, Java, Rust, TypeScript, or similar.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

Backend Software Engineer | Build security for the AI era | Onsite in SF

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and scale reliable backend systems and services


• Own projects from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing improvement

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development


• Experience building and scaling production software


• Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, TypeScript, or similar


• Strong understanding of software design, APIs, databases, and distributed systems


• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and modern development environments


• Comfortable debugging complex production systems and making performance and reliability improvements


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make thoughtful technical tradeoffs


• Ownership mentality and the ability to take projects from idea through production


• Curiosity and an interest in learning new technologies and working on technically challenging problems

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-scale or data-intensive systems


• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or other infrastructure tooling


• Experience with streaming or event-driven systems


• Experience working with databases, networking, operating systems, or other systems-level technologies


• Experience at a high-growth startup or rapidly evolving engineering organization


• Experience working with AI/ML infrastructure or applications
