Job summary

ResortPass in NYC seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical work and be the primary hands-on builder for the ResortPass API. In your first year, multiple distribution partners and an authorized AI agent should complete real bookings through the same versioned API.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent impact.
• Designed transactional systems and external APIs; evolved data models in production.
• Understanding of relational modeling, concurrency, and distributed failures.
• Ability to translate complex business rules into clear contracts and invariants.
• Led important systems as primary builder while collaborating on architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch the external ResortPass API with stable contracts for pricing, availability, holds, bookings, changes, and cancellations.
• Design idempotent, recoverable operations and robust reconciliation for retries and partial success.
• Evolve the core booking domain with clear models for products, schedules, prices, inventory, holds, carts, and bookings.
• Define data contracts to keep inventory discoverable and support OpenSearch.
• Own architecture for integrations with supply, PMS, and POS; create reusable connector patterns.
• Operate and monitor the platform with reliability targets, tests, dashboards, and runbooks.
