ResortPass is building a unified booking platform for hotel experiences, with a primary focus on a robust backend API and scalable domain models. You will own day-to-day technical roadmaps, write production code, and guide architectural choices in a high-impact role based at our NYC headquarters.

The role collaborates with partner teams to extend inventory, pricing, and integration capabilities, ensuring reliability, observability, and safe rollouts across open booking channels.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Designed transactional systems and external APIs.
  • Experience with relational modeling and distributed failures.
  • Ability to turn complex business rules into clear boundaries and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Build and launch the ResortPass API with stable, versioned contracts for pricing, availability, holds, and bookings.
  • Design idempotency, recovery, webhooks, and reconciliation for reliability.
  • Evolve the core booking domain with clear models for products, schedules, and inventory.
  • Create reusable connector patterns for partners without reinventing failure handling.
  • Define data contracts for inventory discoverability via OpenSearch.
  • Set reliability and latency targets with tests, metrics, and runbooks.
