Moody's Investors Service is seeking a senior back-end engineer to build scalable insurance analytics platforms. You will work with Python, SQL, and AI-enabled workflows to translate complex requirements into robust backend services.

You will collaborate with product, data science, and ML teams to deliver reliable software at scale. The role emphasizes architecture, code quality, and scalable systems, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of hands-on industry experience, or
• Master's degree in STEM with 4+ years, or
• PhD in STEM with 2+ years of hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, scalable back-end systems powering insurance analytics apps.
• Design, build, and maintain extensible back-end services and web apps focusing on architecture, scalability, reliability.
• Participate in design discussions and provide input across back-end stack.
• Perform code reviews and ensure quality and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain unit and end-to-end tests for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and ML teams to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Evaluate new tools/technologies to improve the tech stack.
• Own critical back-end components and demonstrate strong collaboration skills.
