Job summary

Hostaway is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer on the AI Team to embed AI capabilities into our SaaS platform using Python, APIs, and AI services. You will deliver customer-facing features by turning data and models into practical tools for property managers and guests.

Work closely with product, design, and platform teams to ensure AI components slot seamlessly into our SaaS ecosystem, emphasizing observability and scalable architecture. This is a fully remote role within the EMEA region.

Qualifications

5+ years in backend SaaS or similar environments.
Experience designing REST APIs for SaaS products.
Familiarity with LLM/AI tooling (LangChain, MEC/SDKs).
Proficient bridging between Python-based AI services and front-end components.
Nice to have: PHP + Golang experience.
Strong collaboration with product and platform teams.

Responsibilities

Design and build services that integrate AI into customer-facing features.
Develop scalable APIs and backend services connecting AI outputs to SaaS functionality.
Collaborate with product and design teams for AI-driven UX.
Partner with platform and integration teams to embed AI into workflows.
Implement observability, monitoring, and error handling for AI services.
Contribute to evolving the AI integration stack (Python SDKs, MCP servers, LLM orchestration).
