Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Intersight team to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native software for AI infrastructure. You will own features end‑to‑end, from design through production, in collaboration with product, UX, and other engineering teams.

You will lead architecture discussions, mentor peers, and drive improvements in security, reliability, and performance across distributed backend services and platform integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related work experience (as per listing).
• 7+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience designing production software in Go, C/C++, Java, or Python.
• Cloud-native microservices on large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud-native software for Intersight’s AI infrastructure strategy.
• Lead medium-sized features from design to production with APIs and distributed services.
• Diagnose production issues, participate in incident response and root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to balance value, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to architecture direction, and improve engineering practices.
• Incorporate security, privacy, and secure coding across the lifecycle.
