Job summary

ENFOS, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the backend of our Environmental Obligation Management platform.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will own the services, APIs, and data pipelines that power complex financial, scientific, and regulatory workflows. You will design for performance, security, and observability while mentoring engineers and contributing to Atlas, our AI platform, to embed automation into enterprise workflows

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software engineering in production environments.
• Ability to architect scalable backend systems and deliver high-quality software using Java or Python.
• Experience building and operating complex B2B SaaS platforms.
• Strong data integration, ETL, and data transformation skills.
• Proficient in CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• Excellent communication to explain architectural decisions across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and build resilient, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Develop data pipelines integrating financial, scientific, and operational data.
• Build AI-powered capabilities and agents to automate workflows.
• Define architectural standards for scalability, security, and observability.
• Lead onboarding and large-scale data migrations with reliability.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams on roadmap.
• Ensure highly observable systems with monitoring and post-incident learning.
• Present architectural decisions to leadership and customers.
