ENFOS, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the backend of our Environmental Obligation Management platform.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will own the services, APIs, and data pipelines that power complex financial, scientific, and regulatory workflows. You will design for performance, security, and observability while mentoring engineers and contributing to Atlas, our AI platform, to embed automation into enterprise workflows
ENFOS is redefining how global enterprises manage long-term environmental risk. As the category leader in Environmental Obligation Management, our platform centralizes and automates the full lifecycle of Environmental Remediation Obligations (EROs) and Asset Retirement Obligations (AROs)—replacing fragmented spreadsheets and outdated tools with a purpose-built, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
For 25 years, ENFOS has helped the world’s leading industrial companies stay audit-ready, SOX-compliant, and financially in control of their environmental obligations. Privately held and profitable, ENFOS operates with no direct competitors and supports a blue-chip customer base spanning energy and natural resources, chemicals, manufacturing, and logistics end markets.
With regulatory pressure rising and ESG scrutiny intensifying, ENFOS is uniquely positioned to empower Finance, Legal, and Remediation teams to improve decision-making, mitigate risk, and drive long-term balance sheet reliability.
Every major industrial company carries Environmental Obligations: the legal and financial commitments to remediate, restore, and account for the footprint of their operations. These obligations represent billions of dollars of liabilities, span decades, and have historically been managed across spreadsheets, inboxes, and institutional knowledge.
ENFOS is the enterprise system of record that replaces all of that. The world's leading energy, chemical, mining, manufacturing, and industrial companies run their Environmental Obligation programs on our platform.
Our advantage isn't a generic AI model. It's decades of domain expertise, structured enterprise data, and mission-critical workflows that competitors cannot easily replicate. We are profitable, growing quickly, and transforming our platform from a record system into an AI-enabled system of intelligence. If you're excited about building durable enterprise software, solving complex technical problems, and shaping the future of EOM, we'd love to meet you.
ENFOS is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the backend of our Environmental Obligation Management platform. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of a mission-critical enterprise platform trusted by many of the world's largest industrial companies to manage billions of dollars of environmental liabilities under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
You will design and own the services, APIs, and data pipelines that power complex financial, scientific, and operational workflows. You'll also help architect Atlas, our AI platform, embedding intelligent automation into enterprise workflows that customers rely on every day.
This role carries significant ownership across backend architecture, data integrity, platform scalability, and long‑term technical direction. You'll help establish the engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development practices that will shape ENFOS for years to come while mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
You will play a central role in modernizing our platform while helping shape the next generation of AI‑enabled enterprise software. Success in this role means translating complex business, financial, scientific, and regulatory requirements into resilient, high‑performance systems. You'll raise engineering standards, make sound architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and deliver software that customers trust to run mission‑critical business processes.
You are expected to own initiatives end‑to‑end, from technical design through deployment, breaking work into well‑defined milestones, identifying risks early, collaborating across teams, and consistently delivering high‑quality software against product roadmap commitments.
