Job summary

Erinion, part of the Scania Group, is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to build and evolve Erinion Connect, our cloud-native Charging Management System for smart charging and energy management in commercial transport. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics and AI teams to design scalable backend services and integrations.

We value engineers who can make independent architectural decisions, drive technical direction, and contribute across the stack as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js (TypeScript).
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems and integration patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and cloud storage solutions.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices and event-driven systems.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions independently.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in day-to-day development.

Role Summary

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in building and evolving Erinion Connect, our cloud-native Charging Management System (CMS) for smart charging and energy management in commercial transport.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Applied AI teams, as well as a strategic technology partner, you will design and deliver scalable backend services, integrations and cloud-native solutions that support Erinion's growth.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who combines strong backend expertise with architectural thinking. AI-assisted development tools are part of our daily workflow, but we value engineers who can independently drive technical decisions and build robust, scalable systems.

This is a backend-first role, with approximately 70% of the work focused on platform and integration engineering and the flexibility to contribute across the stack when needed.

Job Responsibilities

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js (TypeScript).

• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and cloud storage solutions.
