Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Backend Data Test Engineer to validate large-scale data systems, ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across backend platforms and related frontend/UI applications.

You will lead ETL validation across Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL; collaborate with analysts/DBAs/DevOps and Agile teams; develop test plans and API test scenarios, and contribute to data quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of direct Backend/Data Testing experience.
• Strong expertise in backend testing with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and SQL.
• Experience with data validation in big-data environments (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Solid experience with Agile or SAFe methodologies.
• Experience writing user stories, defects, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to create detailed test cases from user stories and requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Product Owners, DBAs, and Developers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform ETL and backend data validation across big-data technologies including Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and related platforms.
• Analyze, interpret, and validate CMS datasets including Shared Systems Claims and Provider data.
• Validate data sourced from CMS Integrated Data Repository.
• Conduct data comparison and reconciliation between backend datasets (PostgreSQL/Snowflake) and frontend/UI outputs or Databricks Unity Catalog results.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, DBAs, Developers, DevOps, and Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure data accuracy and performance.
• Ensure adherence to Testing Framework standards and SDLC processes.
• Participate in functional UI validations as needed to support end-to-end data integrity.
• Independently develop, execute, and maintain detailed backend test plans and validation scenarios.
• Design and execute API-based test scenarios to validate backend services.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
