Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Data Test Engineer to validate large-scale data systems and ensure data integrity across backend platforms and UI applications.

You will validate ETL processes, work with Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and collaborate with Analysts, DBAs, and Developers. The role requires strong SQL skills, experience in big-data environments, and adherence to SDLC and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Backend/Data Testing.
• Strong expertise in backend database testing using PostgreSQL, Snowflake.
• Experience in big-data validation (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Slack.
• Experience in Agile or SAFe methodologies.
• Able to write user stories, defects, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Ability to design test cases from user stories.
• Strong communication with Product Owners, DBAs, and Developers.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ETL and backend data validation across big-data technologies.
• Validate CMS datasets and data flows across backend and frontend outputs.
• Compare backend datasets with UI outputs and Databricks Unity Catalog results.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data reliability and performance.
• Develop, execute, and maintain backend test plans and validation scenarios.
• Design API-based test scenarios for backend services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
